DPPaaS is a part of Pentalym’s larger digital solutions portfolio, which connects the physical and digital worlds through its intelligent labelling and pentalym.live product cloud platform.

Our smartCodes provide the capability to print a globally unique product identifier onto your products.

What problem does Pentalym solve?

Pentalym allows you to create a mirror of the real world functionality of any physical object (clothing) inexpensively and in scale. Allocating a unique  identifier (smartCode) for every physical item (clothing), provides a platform that captures all the relevant information on that individual item during its useful life. This information is live, stored in a secure cloud environment that can be easily accessed (smartphone) by relevant people at any point in time to maximize efficiencies and efficacy through all aspects of the supply chain.

What tangible benefits does Pentalym deliver?

  • Creating a digital replica of clothing items enables fabrics, patterns and pieces to be virtually created first to minimize waste in the supply chain.
  • Provides users with live data to have full visibility around the supply chain enabling them to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement
  • Provides traceability and transparency around all aspects of supply chain resulting in:
    • Capability to do a product Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
    • Reducing environmental impact
    • Removing waste and inefficient processes
    • Ability to validate sustainable sourcing (deforestation/climate/animal welfare/biodegradable fabric)
    • Adherence to ethical working conditions (child labour, poverty, living wage)
    • Holds vendors accountable (adherence to standards, environmental performance)
  • Creates an audit record for individual physical items, enabling automated demand forecasting and supply chain optimization.
  • Drives more sustainable consumption practices facilitating circular fashion (resell, store take back schemes, clothing swaps, garment repair and upcycling)

Once your products are connected to the Pentalym Portal, you will be able to scan them using an RFID scanner and reduce your stocktake timings from days to just minutes.

Once customers purchase the product, they can scan the QR code to retrieve the product care instructions, user manuals or other product information.
